1. Conduct biodiversity and conservation assessments for all flatworms, earthworms, and native and non-native land and freshwater snails for all Maui Nui DLNR-DOFAW managed forest reserves. There are currently 10 forest reserves located on Molokai and Maui, some of which have several geographically separated sections. a. Minimum of 140 survey worksites completed. i. A worksite consists of 5m x 5m quadrants survey area. ii. Minimum of five (5) survey worksites per state forest reserve. 2. Provide an updated distribution of flatworms, earthworms, and native and non-native land and freshwater snails for all forest reserves mentioned in Line #1. 3. Provide an updated conservation status of native land snails found in the forest reserves. 4. Make data available through online portal and/or static documents to include updated distributions and other specimen metadata (e.g. genetic data/phylogenies, diagnostic images) for native and non-native snails, flatworms, and earthworms. 5. Organize and host at minimum five (5) taxonomic workshops for DLNR staff for the purpose of sharing results, building capacity for identification of native and non-native species and early detection of introduced species in Hawaii.
